C$1 deposits by Visa card
Dollar Deposit Visa Casinos in Canada
A small group of Canadian-facing casinos will accept a single dollar from a Visa card. Below I go through what happens when you make that payment, what the dollar actually gets you, and how winnings come back to you afterwards.

What this page covers
The phrase "one dollar deposit" sounds simple, and the payment part mostly is. The harder questions come later: which card your bank will let through, what the casino hands you for C$1, and how much you need in your balance before you can cash out.
I've listed eight casinos. Three of them take a true C$1 first deposit by Visa: Casino Classic, Zodiac and Lucky Nugget. The others start at C$5, C$10 or C$20, and I've included them because they're the natural next step once the one-dollar offer is used up. All of them accept Visa, and I've quoted their wagering terms rather than rounding them.
This suits someone who wants to try a real-money lobby for the price of a coffee and is happy to treat the dollar as entertainment. If you're hoping to turn C$1 into a withdrawal, read the section on the C$50 floor first. It changes the picture.

Casino Classic
True C$1 by VisaCasino Classic takes C$1 by Visa and returns 40 chances on Mega Vault Millionaire, a progressive jackpot slot. Later deposits can add up to C$500 more. The first-deposit offers carry 200x wagering, and the minimum withdrawal is C$50, so think of the dollar as a jackpot ticket.

C$1 spins, lower stepsLucky Nugget turns a C$1 first deposit into 40 spins, and the cashier normally starts at C$5 after that. Wagering is 200x. It isn't part of the Casino Rewards group, and withdrawals sit pending for 24 hours rather than 48. It doesn't publish a minimum withdrawal, so check the cashier.

C$5 jackpot entryCaptain Cooks needs C$5 instead of one dollar, and gives 100 chances to win C$1 million for it. Visa works from that same C$5. Further deposits from C$10 spread up to C$475 over four steps, with 200x on the first deposits and a C$50 minimum withdrawal.

Lower wagering, higher entrySources disagree on Grizzly's Quest: one lists C$1 for every method, another says C$10 for most. The welcome spins need C$20 either way. The trade-off is fair, though: 35x wagering within seven days, against 200x at the dollar sites. Confirm the Visa minimum in the cashier.

Get BonusAdults only: 19+, or 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec Visa Debit or Visa credit: which card to use
Start with the card in your wallet. Many Canadian bank cards, RBC and TD among them, now carry a Visa Debit logo next to the Interac one. When you type that card number into a casino cashier, it's processed as a Visa payment but the money comes straight out of your chequing account. For a C$1 deposit this is usually the smoothest choice.
A Visa credit card is a little less predictable. Some Canadian issuers decline gambling transactions outright. Others let them through but treat them as a cash advance, which means a fee on top and interest from the first day, with no grace period. On a one-dollar payment the cash-advance fee can easily be bigger than the deposit itself. If your card has been declined once, don't keep retrying; the bank has made a policy decision and repeated attempts can flag the card.
The third thing to look at is currency. All eight casinos here run Canadian-dollar accounts, so a C$1 deposit should appear on your statement as C$1. If a payment is ever billed by a merchant in another currency, your bank adds a foreign transaction fee, typically around 2.5% on Canadian cards, and the amount you see won't match the amount you typed. The fix is simple: make sure your casino balance shows CAD before you deposit anything.
Visa minimums and withdrawal floors side by side
Minimums come from operator terms and recent reviews; where sources conflicted, as with Grizzly's Quest, the cashier on the day you sign up is what counts.
What a one-dollar deposit actually gets you
The dollar doesn't become a playable balance in the usual sense. It buys a fixed bundle, and the bundle differs by casino:
- Casino Classic: 40 chances on Mega Vault Millionaire
- Zodiac: 80 chances
- Lucky Nugget: 40 spins
"Chances" at the Casino Rewards sites are spins on a progressive jackpot game. Each spin is a small stake, and most of them return nothing or a few cents. The appeal is the outside chance of a large jackpot, which is why these offers exist at all.
Winnings from those spins land as bonus money with 200x wagering. Put plainly: if your 80 chances return C$3, you'd need to bet C$600 before that C$3 becomes withdrawable. Few people get there from a C$1 start, and that's fine as long as you expect it.
After the first deposit the minimums rise. Zodiac moves to C$10. Lucky Nugget's cashier usually starts at C$5. The later welcome stages are where the larger amounts sit (up to C$480 at Zodiac, up to C$500 at Casino Classic), and at Zodiac the wagering on deposits three to five falls to 30x. I'd treat the dollar as a way to see the lobby, test the Visa payment with your bank and decide whether you'd like a second deposit at all.
If lower wagering matters more than the entry price, the 35x casinos further down the list start at C$10 to C$20.
Making a C$1 Visa deposit, step by step
- 1
Check your card type
Look for "Visa Debit" on the front of your bank card. If it's there, use it rather than a credit card to avoid cash-advance fees.
- 2
Open the account in CAD
Choose Canada and Canadian dollars at sign-up. Confirm the balance shows C$ before you go to the cashier.
- 3
Pick Visa and enter C$1
Select Visa in the cashier, type 1 as the amount and accept the first-deposit offer if it's shown as a separate step.
- 4
Approve the bank check
Your bank may send a one-time code or app prompt. Approve it and the chances or spins usually appear within a minute.
- 5
Set up Interac for later
Before you play, look at the withdrawal page so you know which methods are offered and that the minimum is C$50.
Questions people ask about C$1 Visa deposits
- Can I really deposit C$1 with a Visa card?
- Yes, at Casino Classic, Zodiac and Lucky Nugget the first deposit can be C$1 by Visa. After that the minimum goes up to C$5 or C$10 depending on the casino.
- Why did my bank decline my Visa casino deposit?
- Some Canadian banks block gambling payments on credit cards, and a few block them on debit too. Calling the bank or switching to Interac is more reliable than trying again.
- Will I pay a fee on a C$1 Visa deposit?
- The casinos here don't publish a deposit fee for Visa. Your bank may charge one if the card is credit and the payment is coded as a cash advance, or if the payment is ever billed in a foreign currency.
- Can I withdraw to my Visa card?
- Only if the casino supports Visa payouts for your card at the time you ask. None of these sites confirms it for Canada, so expect to cash out by Interac or iDebit.
- How much do I need to win before I can cash out?
- At least C$50 at most of these casinos, after the wagering has been met. With 200x on the C$1 offers, that takes a fair amount of luck.
- Is the C$1 offer the same at every Casino Rewards site?
- No. Zodiac gives 80 chances for C$1, Casino Classic 40, Captain Cooks needs C$5 and Yukon Gold C$10. The terms are similar but the entry price and number of chances change.
Getting money out: Visa payouts, Interac and the C$50 floor
Depositing by Visa doesn't guarantee you can withdraw to Visa. Card payouts work through a separate system, usually called Visa Direct or an original credit transaction, and the casino has to support it for your specific card. Debit cards are generally more likely to accept these payments than credit cards, and some casinos cap card payouts at the amount you deposited.
None of the eight casinos here publishes Visa as a confirmed withdrawal route for Canadian players. Royal Vegas and Ruby Fortune list Interac and iDebit. For the Casino Rewards brands the cashier decides at the time you request a payout. In practice, plan to withdraw by Interac e-Transfer to the same bank account your Visa Debit card draws from.
Timing at the Casino Rewards sites follows one pattern: 48 hours pending, then processing the next business day, then whatever time the method itself takes. Lucky Nugget's pending period is 24 hours, with iDebit landing in 24 to 28 hours and Instadebit in 24 to 48.
The figure that matters most for a one-dollar player is the minimum withdrawal. Seven of these casinos set it at C$50, and Lucky Nugget doesn't publish one. So a C$1 deposit has to grow to at least C$50 of cleared, wagered money before anything leaves the casino. That's possible after a lucky jackpot spin. It's unlikely otherwise.
